What is Quick Quick Slow Travel?
“Quick-quick-slow” is a common rhythm found in dancing. “Slow travel” is a buzzy travel term defined as an approach that emphasizes connection to local people, cultures, food and music. Our company brings together these elements to experience dance in either a quick jaunt or an immersive journey to the most interesting and beautiful places.
Who is Nino?
“Nino” is Nino DiGiulio, owner and founder of the Chicago-based May I Have This Dance, one of the most popular dance studios in the US for Latin, swing and ballroom. A professional dance instructor since 1995, he has taught thousands of lessons, workshops, and seminars. Nino’s experience in running a successful business for over 27 years, combined with his love for dance, travel, and hosting others makes him uniquely qualified to create the most amazing and memorable experiences for you. Having traveled all over the US, Canada, Latin America, and Europe on numerous occasions personally and professionally, Nino has spent countless hours researching and finding the best places to dance, restaurants to try, sites to see, places to stay, and means to navigate foreign lands. Fluent in Italian, and curious about other languages, Nino makes for the perfect host when visiting foreign lands. In addition to his close-knit dance family, Nino also has his “at home family”. Dawn, his partner in travel and life, is also a professional dance instructor. Together, with their son, Alexander, they have embarked on many adventures, from road trips across the entire US to global travel by air, land, and sea. Every trip they take, every bag they pack, just adds to the future experiences they plan on sharing with others.
